Maplelag Fat Bike Ride
We're heading to Maplelag! Our February event will be a group ride at Maplelag Resort. If you have never been to Maplelag, you're in for a treat. They have miles and miles of trails hidden in the woods and hills just north of Detroit Lakes, MN. In the winter they may be more well known for cross country skiing trails, but their fat bike trails are equally as awesome. Be sure to go find their page on Strava and Facebook/Instagram to discover more and join us for this fun ride on Saturday, February 7th.

FlatLands Century - 100 Mile Road Group Ride
Going 100 miles in one continuous ride is a rite of passage for most cyclists. Whether you are a new cyclist or have been riding for years, riding 100 miles is always a fun and noteworthy challenge.
This event is a paved road group ride that will complete at least 100 miles so that everyone who rides that day can say they completed a “century” ride. This event is great for anyone who has always wanted to complete a “century” ride but has maybe been intimidated by the distance or weren’t sure where to do it around Fargo-Moorhead.
Each year we’ve done this event we’ve had a good group of experienced riders, and the most fun rides we’ve had occurred when riders complete their first century ride ever. The group effort will help to share the work and save everyone’s energy and can also distract you from the challenge you are undertaking when it starts to feel difficult. It’s fun even if you are an experienced cyclist as well. The sense of accomplishment will stay with you for days after the ride. We hope you’ll join us!
More information about route and other event details to come soon!
WoodChippr Gravel Fondo
Registration Coming Soon
Stay tuned for the link.
About
-The WoodChippr is a mostly gravel event with 3 different distances. Distances and courses are TBD; they will range between 30-130 miles.
-Routes will be released as we get closer to the event.
-The Short Course will be marked with signs to guide you along the route. If you would like to have a queue sheet for any distance, you can do so by printing the route from RideWithGPS once we publish those. Else you navigate from your bike computer or phone. We will release the routes prior to each race.
Rules & Information
-Wearing a helmet is required. Rear light and headlight on your bike are recommended; these roads are open to the public. Wearing headphones is discouraged.
-This event is an effort of our 501c3 club to carry forward the tradition of a gravel event in the area this time of year, which had prior been the END-CHIP, now retired.
-As with many gravel events, this will be self-supported. For the 2 longer distances, there will be opportunities to refuel and get water at some small town(s) where you can purchase food/drink from convenience store and/or locations where you will be able to get water.
-NOTE: This area has elevation, you'll see this in the course maps. This will add time to your ride versus a flat ride over the same distance. Also, the gravel in this area may be slower than what you're used to. Take these into consideration with your time and your hydration and fueling needs. We recommend you bring one more bottle of water and additional nutrition, beyond what you think you'll need.
WoodBurnr Gravel & Fat Bike Ride
About The Event
This event started as a fat bike group ride exploring the trails within the Sheyenne Grasslands. It still is that ride, but in 2024 a few riders in our community asked if they could join us but do a separate gravel ride instead of the fat bike ride. We said “sure, why not” and this year will be our 3rd year offering both rides at this event.
Meet at the Jorgen’s Hollow Campground parking lot. Both rides will start from there.
Fat Bike Ride - roughly 20 miles with around 1,000 feet of elevation gained. Riding in the Grasslands offers a unique scenery that is much different from that of the Red River Valley that Fargo-Moorhead sits in.
Gravel Ride - in 2025 this ride was 30 miles long with about 500ft of elevation gained. Route information will be released closer to the event date.
